Original rolling luggage company debuts Walkabout collection

- TravelPro’s new Walkabout group.
The first piece of rolling luggage I ever bought was a TravelPro. Back then, it was me and flight crews wheeling our bags down the concourses. Mine fit into most airliners’ overhead compartments, but that didn’t matter too much, because airlines weren’t charging for checked bags in those days. I checked it in as often as I brought it on board. It had a lot of air and road trips on its odometer before it was retired due to fraying and closure issues.
Since then, I have owned a smaller, heavier piece from L.L. Bean, a comparably sized expandable piece of an unheard of brand that I bought for $10 on Orchard Street in New York, a big rolling duffel from High Sierra and lightweight rolling suitcases in two sizes and two colors (one red, one black) by Delsey, also expandable. I select one to take according to the length and seasonality of the trip, and I use them and use them and use them until the zippers break, which is the most common form of luggage death — invariably after the warranty expires.
When I need a new piece, I’ll again take a look at Rollaboard, because their new Walkabout Lite 4 line is lightweight and has desirable features. The 22-inch Rollaboard, for instance, fits into the overhead and weighs less than 8½ pounds and can be expanded to gain up to 35% more packing capacity (suggested retail, $159.95). If I were a traveling businessman who needed suits and dress shirts, this would be a no-brainer for its 3-in-1 Suitfolder and Packing Board System. The collection also includes the Deluxe Tote, Rolling Computer Tote, 20-inch Business Plus Rollaboard, 20-inch Wide Body Rollaboard Spinner with Suiter, 22-inch Rollaboard Suiter, 25-inch Spinner Upright, 29-inch Spinner Upright, 24-inch Rollaboard Suiter, 26-inch Rollaboard®, 28-inch Expandable Rollaboard Suiter and Carry-on Rolling Garment Bag, all available in black and dark blue fabric. I don’t know the suggested prices of the other pieces in the line.

Since you are in Thailand, suggested US retail prices wouldn’t be really useful to you anyway, would they?
